Register of owners

Māori Trustee keeps a register of owners for each block that we administer.

Keeping your details up-to-date with Māori Trustee’s register of owners means that you have the opportunity to be involved with your land through getting reports, invitations to meetings and, where there is income, distribution of income.

A personal Māori Trustee client account is also maintained for individual clients.  When a decision is made to distribute income, the money is put in the client’s Māori Trustee account and can be paid from there to the client’s personal bank account.

If you have moved or changed your contact details, make sure you let us know.  You can do this by filling in the form online, or by calling us on 04 803 2800.

The Māori Trustee team currently looks after 130,000 client accounts and 200,000 ownership interests (some clients have interests in more than one land block) for blocks administered by Māori Trustee.

Māori Land Online

If you want to find a list of owners in any block of Māori land, you can search Māori Land Online.  This is a service run by the Māori Land Court and shows the full list of owners in blocks of Māori land and who is responsible for administering the block.
