Client fund management
Māori Trustee holds around $66 million on behalf of clients in what is known as the “Common Fund”. This is the fund which holds all client money, both for trusts on trust accounts, and for individual clients on client accounts.

There are around 130,000 individual accounts in the Common Fund along with trust and property accounts.
The Māori Trustee takes a conservative approach to investing money held in the Common Fund and consistently outperforms the nearest benchmark.
Account holders whose account has a balance on the last day of the calendar month are entitled to a share of the income generated in the Common Fund – this share is called Distributable Income.
